A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom, 1 segment broken down into 4 weeks.
Don Miguel says, "When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the Victim of needless suffering."
Let's start with the word immune.
Immune means to be protected, not affected, or influenced by something.
But how can we not be affected or influenced by the opinions or actions of others?
The only way we are affected by it is because we are fertile ground for that influence.
If there is any tiny little disbelief in you or who you are, you will be affected.
If someone told me i was ugly i would immediately be affected by it because i believed I was flawed in appearance for so long. So it would be so easy for me to believe you and take offense because my mind was fertile ground for that intrusion.
I take no offense today in what people say or think because i know who i am,
One- I know the Truth that I am far more than this body, and two- I know the truth that your perception of me is a reflection of YOU.
What you see in me, in the world, in any situation is always a reflection of your own mind, your inner world. I cannot take offense to something that is simply as I like to say is "a you thing".
It's always a You thing because you see this life through your very own unique lens.
Nothing others do is because of You, and what You do has nothing to do with anyone else but YOU. It's all a reflection of your state of consciousness.
I can write and write all day long or post on media my perception of a certain topic and you will only be able to understand what you are going to understand. If you don't agree with me that's okay, I know what I'm saying and if you understand something completely different then, "that's a you thing" I won't take it personally. Your beliefs are your beliefs and my beliefs are mine. It's okay. You can also tell me the same thing "Well that's a you thing" and you are completely right!
Practice divine protection.
You are the only force that can either allow or protect yourself from taking things personally.
Divine Protection: a mental wall that no thought or suggestion could enter the mind without our permission to enter... not having fertile ground for thoughts that I perceive as negative or low vibrational from others around me.
I went to a beautiful Sunday service led by a wonderful metaphysical teacher, author, and Minister Dr. Roy Richmond. He said something that I know will live with me forever. "Who said that?" If I think a thought, is it MINE? Is it what God said or is it a projection from another person's opinion or thought?
Action Step:
So let's be very curious about where our thoughts come from, and let's practice divine protection from another person's thoughts and opinions by not taking anything personally and fully grasping the truth that everyone sees you and this entire world through an entire set of eyes, nothing ever has anything to do with YOU.
When you think a thought and its a strong one, ask yourself "Who said that?" and dig into whether it came from you or someone else's belief system. <3
Please like, share, or comment if this resonates. If you have something unkind to say, keep it to yourself it will not be received. I will simply reply with "that's a you thing" ;)
