The Four Agreements

A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom, 1 segment broken down into 4 weeks.

The Four Agreements caught my attention in 2021. I had already committed to my reconnection to Self when I decided to read this book. I will tell you that this book and IMPLEMENTING these four agreements into my life changed my entire life! I continue to practice these agreements and teach my children these agreements. Literally, my entire life is based on the practice of these agreements so I wanted to share them with you with full faith that you too will begin to practice them.

Week 1- The First Agreement- Be Impeccable with Your Word. (Current Read)

Week 2- The Second Agreement- Don't Take Anything Personally

Week 3- The Third Agreement- Don't Make Assumptions

Week 4- The Fourth Agreement- Always Do Your Best

Each week this month I will touch deeper into the agreement and offer you MY personal deeper understanding of this ancient wisdom along with the Science of Mind teachings. This first week is the first agreement, be impeccable with your Word.

First- lets talk about what the WORD is?

"in the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word WAS GOD."

The word was God, God meaning Spirit, First Cause. "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth, shall not return unto me VOID. Void meaning empty. Our words create. Our words set Law into motion and always come back to us in demonstration of what it is we spoke out.

Don Miguel's Teachings say "Speak with integrity, say only what you mean. (do not speak out of anger, or frustration -this is not your divine nature) Avoid using the Word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the POWER of your Word in the direction of Truth and Love."

Our Word is powerful, it has the power to destroy or give life. Use the POWER of your word to speak life and speak love into the world because it will NOT return unto you empty.

"Impeccability of the word will also give you immunity from anyone putting a negative "Spell" on you (when people speak negatively on you) You will only receive a negative idea if your mind is fertile ground for that idea. -Don Miguel Ruiz.

This teaching also made me think of the discovery of Race- Suggestion.

Our human beliefs in which we offer influence and suggestion to the ones we mingle with.

Recognizing that you have the power to build a mental wall around yourself so that lower vibration or "negative" thoughts that are not in harmony with truth, be entered and impressed upon your subconscious mind by the power of THEIR word, aka Divine Protection.

Divine Reminder: always seek YOUR truth. Not what I say, teach, or do but simply what feels good and right for you. Take what you take from this, and leave what doesn't resonate.

All of this to say, be impeccable with your Word.

Your Word holds power and will forever manifest that of the vibration you send out.

Choose your thoughts, beliefs, and words consciously and always in harmony and love, watch how you may begin to attract more love and harmony into your life simply by applying this agreement/ principle to your life.

Action Step: Take Stock

I invite you to take stock of your thoughts especially before they come out of your mouth.

Become aware of the thoughts that come in and the thoughts you energize.

We all know that voice in our heads. That voice is not the real You.

The real you is the energy behind those thoughts, it's the entity LISTENING and observing those thoughts.

You are not your thoughts. Open yourself up to become aware of what goes on in your mind and if they are thoughts that do not align with who you want to be, you can either simply take a breath and let them go, or inquire within and ask yourself "Where does this come from?" And "Does this belief/thought support my growth?

Write it out.
